About Us

Adirondack Sport Center , founded in 1964 by Joseph Pfeiffer Sr., is a family owned and operated recreational sport shop located in Boonville, New York .  Originally catering primarily to the hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and sports audience, we have since expanded into rental cabins and snowmobiles as well as go-karts.  Since then, Joseph has (semi) retired leaving the business to be run by his son John and grandson Ryan.

 
By 1992 we had outgrown our location in downtown Boonville and moved to our current location on Hawkinsville Road,  in the outskirts of Boonville.   In 1995 we saw the demand so we began renting snowmobiles.  Along with the snowmobile rentals came a need for lodging, so in 1998 we built our first rental cabin, and have since added 7 more, each a little different than the last.

 
Located in the heart of the Adirondacks , and at the base of the Tug Hill Plateau, we are centered in an area which has a lot to offer.  In the summer there are nearby streams, and lakes for fishing, swimming and boating, and New York states largest water theme park, the Enchanted Forest Water Safari is only 20 minutes away.  In the winter, we are located directly on the snowmobile trail S77D between Tug Hill and Old Forge.  We are also centrally located between three ski hills, Woods Valley , Snow Ridge, and McCauley Mountain .
